Peam Krasop Mangrove Boardwalk
About
Peam Krasop Wildlife Sanctuary is a protected coastal wetland area in Koh Kong province encompassing one of the largest mangrove forests in Southeast Asia, covering over 25,000 hectares of tidal channels, mudflats, and dense mangrove woodland along the Gulf of Thailand coast. A wooden elevated boardwalk stretching approximately 600 meters into the forest allows visitors to walk above the tidal waters among the towering mangrove roots, with a tall wooden observation tower at the far end offering elevated views across the treetop canopy and tidal creeks below. The sanctuary provides critical habitat for migratory birds, horseshoe crabs, mud skippers, and numerous fish and crustacean species. Boat tours through the mangrove channels can be arranged from the nearby Peam Krasop village pier.
