Ream National Park
About
Ream National Park is Cambodia's first and most accessible coastal national park, established in 1993 and covering approximately 21,000 hectares of diverse ecosystems along the Gulf of Thailand coast, just 18 kilometers east of Sihanoukville. The park encompasses two estuaries, mangrove forests, lowland evergreen rainforest, coral reefs, and two undeveloped beaches accessible only by boat. It supports an extraordinary range of wildlife including Irrawaddy dolphins, macaques, sun bears, pangolins, sea turtles, and over 155 bird species. Boat tours through the Prek Toal estuary and mangrove channels are among the most popular activities, along with guided jungle treks. Snorkeling and swimming at the park's isolated beaches reward visitors willing to make the journey.
